[ Fri, 8th Jan 2010 ]

UK Public Sector Procurement - "In order to achieve £15 billion in procurement savings in 2010, innovative new solutions are required" -
HM Treasury.

Supplierforce, in partnership with Cordoba Consulting, are hosting a Directors dinner in The House of Commons on February 9th, 2010.

Addressing this key theme, the guest speakers include Meryl Bushell, former Chief Procurement Officer with British Telecom and David Loseby, Head of Procurement and Contract Management for Westminster City Council.

Many local authorities are still working with a procurement model that relies heavily on local procurement by individual departments, with some guidance from a small central team. Given the fiscal challenges ahead, we will be posing several questions around both the existing model and approach, as well as mapping out some exciting alternatives that have produced both immediate and ongoing savings. We will also be concentrating on the people side of procurement regarding the need for effective leadership and championing of the process.

At the dinner, our guests of CEO’s, Finance Directors and Procurement leaders will share innovative ideas to foster progressive procurement thought leadership and collaboration.

Supplierforce delivers a unique hosted Supply Management solution and a range of procurement services to customers across both the public and private sectors. For further information on Supplierforce, see www.supplierforce.com.
