Supplierforce thought-leadership conference "Managing costs in turbulent times"

The research, commissioned by Supplierforce, showed that only a quarter of businesses are effective at identifying which suppliers have financial difficulties, while almost half don’t know whether suppliers are having problems with short term finance. Eight out of ten organisations haven’t yet held meetings with suppliers to determine the impact of thecurrent economic crisis. Whilst 80% of respondents said they have pro-active close relationships with their strategic suppliers, only 33% understand how the same strategicsuppliers rate them as a customer. Cost containment was cited as the biggest challenge facing organisations in the current climate.
